The month of women. and the year of the collab.
International Women’s Day. Mother’s Day. And just an all round month to celebrate ourselves and the women in our lives, in business, who help to drive us forward. This is for you!
Why is 2026 so poignant for women in business? The year of the fire horse has arrived and it graces us with its presence, driving us forward with fire in our bellies for collaboration, creativeness, groundedness and connection! Which ties so nicely into how this year I’m so excited about working with women from across different industries, maintaining old relationships, building new ones and nurturing the relationships I have with these incredible forces who have and continue to help support me and Fox & Bloom!
For me, positive change comes from working together and promoting one another and that encompasses all of the things that build the foundations for a successful business. Sharing ideas, boosting one another, chats about business, chats about personal life, lifting each other up. I feel this real sense that 2026 will be the year of collaboration but with a difference. Working with women who empower women, women with authenticity who approach business with honesty and transparency - something which has probably not always been the case in the skincare industry. I’ve also gone by the motto of sharing, being open to share - it shows and it invites a loyal following of like minded people who share the same values. The I’ll scratch your back motto, but with real meaning. And, with that comes success, comes connection, comes trust - and that’s the kind of energy we should be celebrating this International Women’s Day.
And why does collaboration matter to me?
We’re all so guilty nowadays of falling into this cycle of comparison. With the world at our fingertips, or just the touch of a button, everything’s there, everything’s accessible whether it’s true or not. We begin comparing ourselves, and perhaps in the case of smaller businesses (like ME) trying to be everything, trying to be all the hats. And it’s just not possible. I think in the world of skincare, this idea of knowledge and everything being accessible can also sometimes be misleading, it’s daunting, scary and overwhelming - there’s sometimes too much info! Guarding our knowledge also isn’t the answer. But it’s about finding a different way.
For me, that way isn’t over sharing for the sake of visibility. It’s not just more noise. It’s genuine. It comes from a place of wanting to share the passion behind what I do, to educate with care and to connect with intention. Transparency doesn’t mean giving everything away, it means being open in a way that builds trust in a community.
But more importantly for me it means choosing to work alongside women who share those same beliefs. Women who value honesty, integrity and collaboration over competition. When you’re aligned in that way, you don’t feel the pressure to be everything, because you’re building something together instead of battling it alone.
Collaboration shifts our focus. And the tick boxes go on for me, it reduces stress because we share the load. It expands our reach because our communities intersect. It builds trust and it strengthens connections because opportunities circulate, it’s like the domino effect.
For a small, conscious brand like me, collaboration isn’t just good for my soul, it’s a thoughtful, considered and sustainable way to grow. Not by trying to do it all, but by standing side by side with women who are on my page, sharing passion, purpose and progress in a way that feels real.
What do collaborations look like this year for Fox & Bloom? What’s on the cards?
Yoga retreats - movement, nervous system support and open conversations about stress and skin health.
Journaling workshops - rituals, slowing down and skincare as part of a wider self-care practice.
Community conversations - honest Q&As and shared experiences in safe, supportive spaces.
Whole-system wellness - because skin health isn’t just ingredients, it’s sleep, stress, movement and connection too don’t you know.
How do we grow stronger together?
By working alongside local female led businesses to create spaces where women feel supported, informed and inspired not rushed, pressured or compared. Because when women collaborate, resources circulate, confidence grows, stress eases and our communities and wellbeing, thrive.
